Billing, cancellation and refunds.
What you are charged, when, how to stop it, and what happens to money already paid. The last one is the part most pages bury, so it is third from the top here.

How billing works
- Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance, on the day of the month you first paid, and renew automatically until you cancel.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Prices are in US dollars and exclude any tax that applies where you are.
- Work quoted per project, per page or per batch is invoiced separately from any subscription, against a scope written down before it starts.
How to cancel
From your own billing page, in one click. No call, no retention conversation, and nobody asking you to reconsider.
Open your account and go to billing, or ask for your billing link from the sign-in page. Cancel before your next renewal date and you are never billed again. Access runs to the end of the month you have already paid for — cancelling does not cut you off mid-month.
Refunds
Payments already made are not refundable. That includes the first month.
The reason is stated rather than hidden: the work starts the day you pay. On a subscription, the first month is when the account gets read, rebuilt and put back into the auction, which is the most expensive month to deliver and the one where the least has yet shown up in your numbers. A refund window on that month would mean pricing everybody for the people who take it.
What you get in exchange for that is a genuinely short leash. There is no minimum term, no annual contract, no notice period and no cancellation fee. Your maximum exposure is one month at a time, you can see the price before you buy, and the decision to continue is yours again every thirty days.
If you are buying as a consumer somewhere whose law gives you a cancellation right that cannot be contracted away, you keep it. Nothing here is intended to remove a right your local law gives you.
Failed payments
If a payment fails, Stripe retries it. If it keeps failing the subscription lapses and the work stops — you will hear about it from a person before that happens rather than discovering it from a dashboard.
A lapse is not a cancellation. If you want to stop, cancel properly, so nothing is left retrying against a card you thought you had closed.
Price changes
If a subscription price changes, you are told before the renewal it would apply to. You always have a renewal at which to say no. A price will never change on a month already paid for.
Chargebacks
If something has gone wrong, email hello@hc0.ai first. It reaches the same person who ran the work and it will be dealt with faster than a bank can process a dispute.
A chargeback raised without that conversation ends the relationship, because the arrangement here depends on both sides picking up the phone.
What is not billed at all
The Shopify store build currently costs nothing. There is no invoice for it, no bundled retainer and no minimum. Your Shopify subscription is paid by you to Shopify at their normal price and never passes through us.
